Pier 17 expands its stylish, culinary empire with Malibu Farm.

For a dining experience that feels like a weekend on the California coast, chef Helene Henderson’s Malibu Farm offers a getaway within the Seaport District. With relaxed, earthy decor, the newest of the collection of restaurants features a bohemian-inspired interior from designer Vanessa Alexander and a dramatic view of the Brooklyn Bridge waterfront. “New York was the first place I called home when I moved to the U.S. from Sweden, so I feel honored to bring Malibu Farm to the place where it all started for me,” says Henderson, who built a menu around healthy, light fare. Specialties include a roasted cauliflower-crust pizza topped with mozzarella, pesto and heirloom tomato; a fish taco stuffed with branzino, two salsas and pepper jack cheese; and an acai bowl, featuring seasonal berries and gluten-free granola. Drinks are crafted using infused organic agave syrups and local produce, such as the Pear, a cocktail made with Sipsmith gin, prosecco and pear-rosemary agave, as well as the Coconut made with toasted coconut Bacardi rum, coconut agave and fresh pineapple juice. Now open for lunch and dinner, Malibu Farm joins a growing number of Californian-inspired locales in New York. 89 South St., malibufarm.nyc
