We checked in with the founder and CEO of M8TRYX for her thoughts on style during times of trouble.
Recently, the most exciting thing to happen was... M8TRYX, my consultancy company, has grown from a handful of clients to a multiplatform agency since the start of this year with clients in the luxury sector including airlines, hotels and fashion.
I have survived this challenging time because... I am fortunate to have always been an entrepreneur since I arrived in New York, which has long prepared me for the constant economic fluctuations in the market—and now sadly enduring tragedies like 9/11 and the ongoing pandemic crisis.
This year has taught me... increased awareness and self-reflection on what truly matters to me—and thoughtfully planning differently to make the most of my time with the people whom I love the most. If you don’t love what you do or how you are living, be brave and make the bold change toward living your best life and being your best self.
My outlook has shifted... light years as I have shifted from building nightclubs to reimagining and rebuilding how we live and work post-pandemic.
My hope for the future is... that we learn from these crises and move together toward a more genuine and purposeful space with healthy exchanges of ideas where as a people we can achieve greater things together instead of the aggressive discord of late. Less talking and more action. Start with loving your neighbors and move forward from there.
In 2020, style is all about...confidence in one’s self and wearing what makes you feel good about your body.
