The New York City screening of 50/50 at the Ziegfeld Theatre

THE PARTY Following solid buzz at the Toronto Film Festival, Summit Entertainment unveiled a movie inspired by the true-to-life tale of screenwriter Will Reiser, who was diagnosed with cancer while in his 20s. The film’s stars, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen, walked the carpet, and sneak-peek viewers of the drama-comedy found plenty of occasions to laugh during the screening. THE PLAYERS Cast members Anna Kendrick and Anjelica Huston made graceful entrances alongside indie rockers Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl. Former Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark director Julie Taymor came to see the story of a young man undergoing a less-spectacular physical transformation, and on his way into the theater, comedian Bill Hader ventured that Reiser’s tale didn’t end on too dark a note: “Will’s here, so…” WHERE TO NEXT Across Midtown to the Four Seasons Restaurant for the after-party
