It’s Sunday afternoon. Your head is pounding, you haven’t washed your hair in three days, and your friends just reminded you that you texted your ex really embarrassing things last night.
It’s time to get your life together. You try emergency texting your therapist but she’s on leave for two weeks in Bali. Must be nice.

You try asking your parents if you could come home for the week. They politely decline. Rude.
So you resort to your last and final option: self-care. The word “wellness” haunts you in your nightmares. Does taking Green Tea shots instead of Jose Quervo count?
Don’t fret, little friend. We’ve got you covered.
We sat down with Rachel Katzman, the Co-Founder, and CEO of P.volve, for her favorite wellness spots in New York City.
P.volve is an omnichannel fitness brand with a global on-demand platform, a growing line of patented equipment, and studios in NYC, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
But you may know it as the place where every Jessica and Jules post on Monday mornings saying “Ready for the week.” You don’t need to put the 6:00 am geotag. We get it, you’re legit a psychopath.
Rachel launched the company in 2017 with co-founder, Stephen Pasterino. She’s known for her customer-centric approach to leadership and always challenging her team to “be the customer.”
The wellness-forward startup is famous for teaching you to “Know Your Body Better” and has garnered attention from major media outlets—such as Vogue, The Today Show, and Vanity Fair—for flipping traditional fitness on its head.
Celebrities including Kate Bosworth, Iskra Lawrence and Venus Williams credit the functional method and its purposeful, low-impact movements for helping them achieve their fitness goals.
Day to day, the wellness guru focuses on driving the creative vision of the company forward, growing the digital platform, and looking to establish P.volve's footing in the fitness space.
All of this, she believes, can be done successfully in sweatpants.
Katzman is still as obsessed with the method today as she was three years ago and can often be found taking classes (these days, virtually!) right alongside the P.volve community.
Trade in your vodka for Kombucha, and dedicate your entire weekend to nothing but you.

The P.volve Studio in NYC is undoubtedly my second home. It is where I feel the proudest and the most fulfilled. Between our state-of-the-art studio which has been a constant source of pride and joy and our trainers who change lives through their signature classes and personal training sessions, it lifts me up. Everything from the ambiance to the workout reminds me why this method and our mission will always be my answer.

Higher Dose has checked off more than one box for me. Their infrared saunas have been detoxifying, mood-boosting, and therapeutic. I knew I was hooked when I proceeded to purchase my very own sauna blanket, (need to be prepared for those few minutes in between meetings!)

Over the last few years, I have become a regular at Matchaful being in the neighborhood. Matchaful prides themselves on being “farm to whisk” with delicious seasonal drinks, pastries, and immunity boosters there is something for everyone. If you are lucky enough to stop in, I recommend you try their “Vanilla Zen” known for its calming ways. This combination of matcha, MCT, vanilla extract, ashwagandha, cinnamon, maple, and milk of your choice has never once disappointed.
