THE PARTY The hip Meatpacking gallery unveiled a short-run exhibition of never-before-seen photos of Marilyn Monroe—then ceded the floor to Harvey Weinstein, who screened a sneak preview of My Week With Marilyn. THE PLAYERS Actress Andrea Riseborough kibitzed with the film’s Dominic Cooper and Simon Curtis, while a heady mix of fashion and entertainment types (including Calvin Klein, Vanessa Carlton and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone) pondered Marilyn images plucked from the Staley-Wise Gallery’s vast holdings. BEST DRESSED Dree Hemingway, in a faithful replica of the Dior gown that Monroe wore in one of her famous portraits. Bert Stern, who took the photo in 1962, was so impressed that he whipped out a pocket camera and started snapping. OVERHEARD “[Monroe was] available and open, the kind of person men and women adore.” –Christie Brinkley
