If you’re a Rocky Barnes fanatic like we are, you’re in for a treat.
Bloomingdales announced the opening of The Carousel @ Bloomingdale’s: Happy Campers, a new shop curated by fashion and travel blogger, and designer Rocky Barnes.
The latest iteration of the retailer’s rotating pop-up shop will bring together the coolest and coziest styles for the fall season.
“I have shopped at Bloomingdale’s as long as I can remember, and it’s always been a place for me to discover new brands and find classic favorites. Curating this pop-up in partnership with Bloomingdale’s was so much fun. I wanted to focus on bringing in different textures, fabrics and thoughtful details, in addition to mixing patterns, fun pops of colors, and cozy textures,” Rocky Barnes.
Happy Campers will feature a unique curation inspired by the great outdoors, including men’s and women’s fashion, beauty, home, kids, including exclusive pieces from Rocky’s brand, The Bright Side.
In addition to curating the shop, Rocky conceptualized, styled, and stars in Happy Camper’s campaign imagery.
Happy Campers offers special finds that reconnect customers with the outdoors, whether they are heading out on a cross-country road trip or exploring their cities.
The shop introduces pieces that can only be found at The Carousel, along with brands arriving at Bloomingdale’s for the first time.
The Bright Side makes its Bloomingdale’s debut with unisex, women’s, and baby products, including pullover sets ($148-$180), striped intarsia sweaters ($180), exclusive unisex checkered cardigan robes ($268), and unisex PJ sets in fun mushroom prints ($198), in addition to BYCHARI x Rocky necklaces ($115 - $135) created especially for The Carousel.
Shoppers can also discover exciting new brands across fashion, kids, and home within the pop-up including The Arrivals, HOFF, The Rad Black Kids, Asweets, East Fork, Bolé Road Textiles, Rumpl, and Anchored Northwest.
The shop’s design at the 59th Street flagship takes inspiration from the mushroom print in Rocky’s collection, with columns and fixtures wrapped in the print along with life-size mushrooms as a whimsical décor element.
On October 7th, shoppers can tune in virtually or watch Rocky live from the 59th Street flagship for a styling event featuring her favorite pieces from the shop.
“In the past year, there’s been a reignited passion for embracing the outdoors and Happy Campers translates this excitement into a special shopping experience with unique finds for our customers to discover,” says Frank Berman, Executive Vice President, and Chief Marketing Officer, Bloomingdale’s.
“Bloomingdale’s is thrilled to be partnering with Rocky for this Carousel shop. The curation has an assortment our customers will enjoy as they spend time in the outdoors with family and friends.”
Happy Campers will open from September 1 – November 1 at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street flagship in New York City and Bloomingdales.com.
