Just because you can’t jet-set to Paris with exorbitant amounts of champagne and caviar, doesn’t mean you can’t bask in the glamour of the City of Lights.
Lucky for all of us commoners, Bronx and Banco’s Fall 2022 collection is bringing the glitz and glam of Paris straight to the streets of New York City.
The moment your Instagram-worthy Larroude boots entered the premises, you were immediately transported to a magical fantasy world far far away.
The Bowery Hotel felt less like a chic hotel in downtown Manhattan, and more like an opulent estate in the heart of France.
But it wasn’t the physical building itself that led to this metamorphosis. It was the bumping music, the energy in the air, and of course, the clothing.
The Bronx and Banco Fall 2022 collection “One Night in Paris” embodies the sentiment that more is always more. Inspired by late Parisian nights, Moulin Rouge, and the electrifying icons of the Vogue era, the collection pulsates to the beat of the nostalgic 80’s megawatt glamour. Featuring elements of feather work, delicate beading, dramatic diamonds, and bold color combinations, this is the quintessential collection for the Bronx and Banco woman who desires to stand out in the crowd,” the release states.
Not only did the collection incorporate an intoxicating Parisian influence, but the garments themselves pushed the boundaries of well, just about everything.
The promiscuous nature of the collection challenged our collective understanding of what fashion is in its entirety. Could fashion be defined by a lack of clothing covering the body?
Could the “more is always more” sentiment actually be fueled less?
The lines between clothing and for lack of better words, nudity, were instantaneously blurred, leaving the viewer with something to ponder over for days to come.
Stay tuned for what Bronx and Banco brings, or better yet, what they don't bring next to the catwalk next season.
