This past weekend, Babba C. Rivera, Swedish it-girl and founder of highly acclaimed New York City–based brand marketing agency, By Babba, celebrated her second annual #midsummerbybabba event at North Brooklyn Farms in Williamsburg.
Midsummer is about being kids again and connecting through play, song and silliness. After spending several years feeling homesick during this time, Babba decided to replace her homesickness for a new tradition: #midsummerbybabba in the name of culture and friendship.
Upon arriving, guests were greeted with a nootropic beverage from Kin Euphorics and were invited to have their friendship astrology readings offered by bumbleBFF in the beautiful mosaic glasshouse at the farm. The DIY arts and crafts included a flower crown station and a friendship bracelet station. Once attendees made their crowns and placed them on their heads, guests were invited to sit for four-course lunch curated by the ByBabba and North Brooklyn Farms team while overseeing the Manhattan skyline. As soon as guests sat, the Swedish games began. Including, but not limited to, Swedish song singing and Swedish shots!
After lunch (and several shots), guests were invited to spend the rest of the afternoon play games such as tug-of-war, sack races and potato/spoon races.
