The Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy hosted its annual Winter Luncheon to benefit the Playground Partners.
THE PARTY
A Champagne toast and viewing of Harry Winston’s dazzling diamonds kicked off the afternoon at the Rainbow Room, where guests gathered to raise money for the upkeep of playgrounds throughout Central Park. The luncheon featured a conversation hosted by guest speakers Jill Kopelman Kargman, writer and actress on Bravo’s Odd Mom Out, and Tanya Rivero Warren, host of Lunch Break on Wall Street Journal Live.
THE SCENE
More than 300 guests gathered for lunch. Notable guests included Doug Blonsky, president and CEO of the Central Park Conservancy; Suzie Aijala, president of the Women’s Committee; and event chairs Paige Boller, Shirin Christoffersen, Sana Clegg, Whitney Mogavero and Alison Strong.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Kargman kept the ladies laughing with snippets from her recent CafĂ© Carlyle show. The event raised more than $150,000 to keep Central Park’s child-friendly spaces clean, safe and ready for playtime. -carmen russo
