En Pointe

| June 27, 2011 | Parties National

The Party: The ABT’s annual fundraiser at the Metropolitan Opera House isn’t your typical black-tie event. For starters, you get a sneak peek at the highlights of the troupe’s repertoire, from Swan Lake to Lady of the Camellias. And you get to mingle in a crowd with Caroline Kennedy and Lorne Michaels. The Players: Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, was there, as was Prince, who accompanied ABT dancer Misty Copeland. Overheard: “The movements, the music, the romanticism—I love ballet!” –Carolina Herrera
