On Tuesday, April 26th, more than 250 local art lovers gathered for the 6th Annual Family Dynamics Benefit Art Auction & Reception to raise awareness and funds for Family Dynamics’ after school art programs. In its highest-grossing year to date, the event raised more than $146,000 for the nonprofit, which serves children and families in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights and East New York neighborhoods. The evening’s silent and live auctions featured artwork donated by 30 New York-based contemporary artists, as well as children from Family Dynamics’ art program at PS/IS 41 in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
