The real estate market in New York City has had a year to remember.
After a very turbulent 2020, which included an all-out shutdown of the market, the real estate sector roared back to life in 2021, and during some months, was operating at near or record levels.
And with the year almost over, real estate analytics firm UrbanDigs dug through its data to create a rundown of the top ten residential sales closings in both Manhattan and Brooklyn year-to-date (between January 1 and December 9).
**If you were to combine the two lists, Brooklyn doesn't crack the top 10 residential closed deals for 2021 so far which is why there is a separate list.
**This includes ALL closed residential deals during 2021, meaning it includes off-market deals as well since those get an ACRIS (public records) filing.
**These are closed residential deals YTD-- January 1, 2021-December 9.
**These do not include multi-family or commercial closings, only residential sales.
**Both UrbanDigs and Streeteasy links are included so you can cross-reference if needed.
