It’s that awkward time of year where we don’t know if it’s socially acceptable to wear boots and a blazer, or open-toed mules with a flowy white top.
Being seasonally confused is the flavor of the month, and we’re starting to have taste aversion.

Just because it’s October, doesn’t mean we can’t wear that ridiculously overpriced midi dress and bought this summer, admittingly never wore.
In search of answers, we connected with rising Fashion Fit Model, Madison Martina, who knows a thing or two about transitional fashion.
This Cindy Crawford look-a-like has worked on major fashion campaigns with Chanel, GUESS, and Two-Faced Cosmetics, and has curated a dedicated social media community of 210K followers.
Repurpose last season’s clothes, and save money on those fall “essentials” from your Pinterest mood board.
As the leaves start to turn, I love embracing a sexy summer dress by throwing a fabulous faux fur coat over it. This is an easy way to instantly make any dress perfect for the fall fashion season without breaking the bank. As a huge faux-fur advocate myself, I love that so many brands are implementing fur-free fashion into their collections.
Fall should be renamed cozy season. When you think fall, you immediately think warm fires, hot tea, pumpkin spice candles, and of course, warm, comfy clothes! And what better way to honor this transitional period than with monochromatic colors? When I die, bury me in a nude tracksuit. And I won’t be mad if it’s Juicy Couture.
I don’t know who invented the rule that you can only wear pastels in spring and summer, but I would like to personally speak to them. Along with whoever invented no white after Labor Day, but that’s a whole different problem. A perfect way to incorporate bright colors into your fall wardrobe is through sweaters and outwear. You’re still pushing the boundaries, but doing so in a way that’s seasonally appropriate.
If I could dress like Steve Jobs every day, I totally would. Pair your favorite summer shorts or mini skirt with a classic black turtleneck for the perfect fall ensemble. You’re destined to have this piece forever because a classic fitted turtleneck won’t be going out of style anytime soon. I’m typically all about fast, affordable fashion, but I would recommend investing in staple pieces that will be in your closet forever.
If you couldn’t tell, the name of the game is faux everything. But that doesn’t mean these items can’t be super high-quality. Just like your black turtleneck, it’s totally worth investing in a nicer pair of chic black pants that go with every item in your wardrobe. Pair your faux leather pants with a summer top, and you’re all set!
Ladies who wear heels with dresses may look classier, but chicks who wear boots with dresses are so much cooler. Whether it's ankle boots or knee-high boots, you can instantly make your favorite summer dress become wearable during the fall season. The Chelsea boot is the boot of the season, so run and get your hands on them! Brands across all price points make versions of the Chelsea boot, so you can get a more affordable or more luxurious pair of this season’s “It-Shoe.”
