In commemoration of Mental Health Awareness Month, Jo Malone London announces a new candle directly benefiting leading mental health organization, Fountain House.
The Charity Candle arrives in a decorative, divine jar sure to enliven any tapletop or mantelpiece.
In observance of Mental Health Awareness month, Jo Malone London is launching the White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity home candle, of which 70% of the purchase price will benefit Fountain House, a US-headquartered mental health nonprofit fighting to increase opportunities and reduce social and economic isolation for individuals living with serious mental illness. With a mission to craft thoughtful products that make people feel good, Jo Malone London has supported those struggling with mental health through their UK charity program for almost a decade. This new partnership marks the London perfume house's extension of its mental health contributions to North America, and will initially benefit Fountain House's youth initiative and College Re-Entry Program, which helps 18-30-year-old college students impacted by mental health challenges return to their studies and attain their academic ambitions.
"This joint venture will help our organization to intervene and positively change the trajectory for so many young people at a critical juncture in their lives," President and CEO of Fountain House, Ashwin Vasan, M.D., Ph.D., shared in a press release.
The Charity Candle kindles the scent of a blissful, blossoming summer garden, blending notes of tart rhubarb with the delicate aroma of lilac, rose and heliotrope. The vibrant and decorative Charity Candle will concur with Fountain House’s annual fundraiser, which this year honors New York City resident, Hamptonite, philanthropist and arts patron, Agnes Gund.
"Fountain House is leading the way in encouraging conversations and offering young people much-needed support. Their focus on education and supporting the most vulnerable members of the community align perfectly with Jo Malone London’s mission to stamp out stigmas around mental health, encouraging people to reconnect and grow," Jean-Guillaume Trottier, Jo Malone London Global Brand President, says in a release. "Together we hope to shine a light on mental health."
The White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity home candle can be purchased at jomalone.com or at any Jo Malone London freestanding store.
