Jungle Party

THE PARTY Sting and Trudie Styler hosted a benefit concert at Carnegie Hall for the Rainforest Fund, their charity that aids in the preservation of the world’s rainforests. After the performances, a gala dinner and auction was held at the Pierre. THE PLAYERS Bill Clinton and Jennifer Hudson watched as Elton John and Bruno Mars performed a soaring rendition of “Unchained Melody.” Then—and we’re sure this will never happen again—Meryl Streep, Sting, James Taylor and John sang a song from The Wizard of Oz. THE HOT TICKET A Tom Hanks superfan spent $26,000 for the actor to record a greeting on his cellphone. Photos by Kevin Mazur/WireImage and Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage
