France-based beverage brand Kusmi Tea makes its mark stateside with a vibrant new flagship store inside the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center.

“Tea is the second-most consumed beverage in the world next to water,” says Sylvain Orebi, Frenchman and president of Kusmi Tea, the 150-year-old Russian brand he revived in the mid-2000s that now boasts more than 90 boutiques worldwide. Orebi is stateside for the debut of Kusmi’s new flagship within Westfield World Trade Center, a color-splashed boutique sporting a new look by British designer Christopher Jenner that’s exclusive to the U.S. market—and definitely a standout within the Oculus. The space is embellished by a custom 6 1/2-foot stainless steel chandelier, its playful drip hovering over the central tea-tasting station, and features a well-hued bespoke mosaic created with Bisazza. Also marking the opening is the debut of the new Blue Detox Tea, the brand’s first with pineapple, a delicious reminder that bright summer days are just around the corner. 185 Greenwich St., South Concorse
