Gather your fanciest white garb and picnic basket because the world’s largest dinner party is back! On September 19th, Le Dîner En Blanc will celebrate its 10th anniversary in New York.
While Le Dîner En Blanc originated in France, it exploded onto the global stage after its NYC debut 10 years ago. In 2019, 5,500 guests took part in the dinner, and the event’s waiting list topped at over 65,000 long.
This year’s event will host 5,500 guests again, all dressed to the nines in white. The precise location will not be announced until day of, but expect the dinner to take place at one of NYC’s most iconic landmarks (previous years have been held at Lincoln Center and Bryant Park). Guests meet in groups of 100-300 in designated spots around the city to follow group leaders to the appointed location. Upon arrival, guests will set up their tablescapes and dine while enjoying live music and dancing.
To be part of the celebrations, people can sign up here. Those wishing to imbibe in Champagne or wine at the event must reserve online through Le Dîner en Blanc’s e-store.
