Model Behavior

| February 28, 2012 | Parties National

THE PARTY Multitasking model Coco Rocha presented a short film directed by her husband, James Conran, about the charity-minded trip she made to a Haitian orphanage with fellow catwalker Behati Prinsloo. (They brought soccer balls, art supplies and letters Rocha had collected from North American students.) The soiree drew the likes of Zac Posen and Karlie Kloss, and a silent auction of photos by Prinsloo, a Victoria’s Secret model, raised funds for earthquake victims. THE PLAYERS Conscientious types making their way through the gallery included designer Rebecca Minkoff, model-activists Jenna Sauers and Sara Ziff and Dancing with the Stars veteran Tony Dovolani. Hilary Rhoda brought her mom, who was bent intently over a phone with Rocha’s. “They’re exchanging numbers,” Rhoda whispered. OVERHEARD “People like models, and they think it’s interesting that we go out and try to save the world. But I also felt that for these kids, having a pen pal in Canada or America was a nice surprise that made everyone feel a little better," said Rocha. Photos by Josh Wong Photography
