The New York-based Nette candle founder illuminates her stylish selects for the home.
“I’ve loved candles for as long as I can remember—my parents owned a candle shop in San Francisco when I was a kid, and some of my earliest (and favorite) memories take place there,” shares Nette founder Carol Han Pyle, who recently debuted the sustainable, luxury candle collection. “My mom would hand-dip and carve the most beautiful pillars, and it always smelled amazing in there. Flash-forward to present day and I was watching the beauty industry transform and focus on clean ingredients and sustainable practices, and I was so into it!” The New York-based former fashion and beauty editor partnered with the leading fragrance house Robertet, headquartered in Grasse, France, to develop a collection of four core fragrances—Supernatural, Spring 1998, Another Life and Laide Tomate. We polled Han Pyle about the new brand—and how she adds a sophisticated spark to her life at home.
“There wasn’t a candle brand out there that was super clean, super sustainable and incredibly chic all at the same time.”
“For scent, I spritz on Rain Cloud by Perfumer H. It’s heaven.”
“There’s a ceramicist in Pittsburgh called Oatmeal that I love. I have a few of her pieces, and they’re so gorgeous.”
“I love Crown Affair for all things hair—their combs and their hair oil are staples for me.”
“My winter wardrobe is a Les Tien set for off days, a chunky Alessandra Rich cardigan, Sheep Inc. knits, Hill House nap dresses, my Jessica McCormack diamond heart Gypset earrings and Mikimoto pearl necklace for Zoom calls, Chanel loafers and Metier bags.”
