Here are the festivals in NYC you won't want to miss.
BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn
Throughout the summer, make time to attend some of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn's concerts. The festival was launched in 1979 and is now one of the city's longest running outdoor festivals. Around 200,000 people make their way to the Prospect Park Bandshell each year, and this summer, look forward to artists like Ali Sethi and Cimafunk. June, July, August, Lena Horne Bandshell
Blue Note Jazz Festival
Blue Note Jazz Festival is a can't-miss. The lineup is jazz-packed with talented musicians, including Grace Jones, Buddy Guy and NxWorries this year. With seven venues, there's ample opportunity to listen to the city's best jazz. May 31-July 2, Multiple locations
SummerStage
Central Park’s SummerStage has hosted a wide array of genres and musicians for over 30 years. SummerStage has locations in all five boroughs, but the Main Stage in the park features some of the biggest names in music. This year, get excited for performances by Hippo Campus, Lil Yachty, Vance Joy and more. June-October, Multiple locations
Tribeca Film Festival
Founded in response to the lack of exuberance in Tribeca after September 11, the Tribeca Film Festival has established itself as one of the country’s best festivals for up-and-coming filmmakers. Showing documentaries, shorts, features and hosting talks and events, it's a can't-miss. June 7-18, Multiple locations
Governors Ball
NYC’s Governors Ball has become a favorite across generations, featuring big name artists and rising stars. The event finds a new home this year at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Performers Lizzo, Odesza, Kendrick Lamar and more are all on the roster for 2023. June 9-11, Citi Field
Jazz Age Lawn Party
What began as a small gathering of family, friends and a few fans, hosted by Michael Arenella, is now the city’s biggest prohibition era-inspired event. Shopping, dancing, performances, food and drink—all in one place at the Jazz Age Lawn Party. June 10–11 and Aug. 12–13, Governors Island
Pride March
“Strength in Solidarity” is the theme for this year’s Pride festival, which started in 1970. The weekend is packed with events, culminating on Sunday for the iconic Pride March. June 25, Lower Manhattan
Harvest In the Square
Harvest In the Square is the best opportunity to try some of the city’s best eats. Taste just about everything the area has to offer including snacks, mains and drinks at this year's 25th annual event. Union Square West and 16 St.
New York City Wine and Food Festival
Food Network’s New York City Wine & Food Festival is celebrating its 16th year this October. Stop by to hear from beloved television chefs and food experts, and taste some of the best food around. The event has raised more than $14,000,000 to date to feed vulnerable New Yorkers and will continue the efforts at this year’s festival. October 12-15, Multiple locations
MoCCA Festival
Don't miss Manhattan's largest comics and cartoons event, MoCCA Festival. The two-day extravaganza features hundreds of artists specializing in this graphic art form along with signings and demos. There's also scheduled talks and lectures throughout both days on topics ranging from author talks to discussions on art and politics. April 1-2, Metropolitan Pavilion
