Are you based in New York City and looking for a new way to make friends and connect with peers? Jan Cieślikiewicz and Fredrick Ghartey have been working on a one-of-a-kind app that could spice up your social life.
Parlor Social Club is an app-based experience that uses real-time data to offer a new type of membership both in the physical and the digital world.

Cieślikiewicz and Ghartey started working on the membership back in 2011 with a traditional brick and mortar club in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City.
After years spent tracking habits, desires and patterns of individuals, they conceptualized a unique social member club designed for the realities of today.
The test concept proved successful through 2021, and Parlor Social Club has officially launched for IOS and Android.
Using the latest technology and a human-powered algorithm, Parlor Social Club offers users access to personalized groups, events and experiences to its growing community.
When members first join, they’re asked to complete a questionnaire based on social preferences. In order to ensure engagement and long-lasting connections between its members, Parlor Social Club places individuals into “curated crowds” based on personality type and social taste.
These crowds are made up of engaging and influential individuals with diverse backgrounds, occupations, personality types and interests. Additionally, the app’s community page allows members to meet and endorse other members, as well as potential members.
The Parlor app includes also an interests page where members can select up to 14 items and interest points. The list ranges from arts and culture to social impact, food, health and wellness, and wine and mixology.
The app collects data from the welcome questionnaire and presents events to members on an in-app calendar. Here, members can read the event description, RSVP, and see if anybody they connected with from their curated crowd is set to attend.
Events are offered both in-person as well as online. In-person events will take place at some of the most exciting venues in New York City, including member-only mixers. Digitally held programming is available for members on the app’s global community.
The curated schedule of events ranges from dinners and social mixtures to leadership discussions, art openings, business networking, fashion shows and more.
Users even have the chance to influence their own social club experience by suggesting event ideas or submitting their own events into the database, upon Parlor’s approval.
Parlor Social Club is now open. Visit the club online and download the app to learn more.
