With Covid on the rise again—screw you, Delta Variant—couture houses are forced to pivot and adapt.
We know the word pivot gives everybody serious PTSD.

While many brands are resuming regularly scheduled programming, with new safety precautions, of course, other household names are completely transforming how they debut their new collections.
3.1 Phillip Lim, amongst others, is celebrating their Spring/Summer 2022 Collection Launch at their flagship store.
Friends of the brand are invited to experience the beauty of the new line with an in-depth guided tour.
Will appointment-only collection walkthroughs be the future of fashion week? There's a part of us that secretly hopes so.
“Spring at 3.1 Phillip Lim is a reflection of the moment yet also the journey, of a woman evolving into a truer version of herself. A self that comes from perpetual growth, resilience, and an intimate understanding of our own individual beauty.”
This experience is mirrored as guests walk through the store, experiencing a type of sensory journey themselves.
As viewers embark on this physical and metaphorical journey, they are invited to sip on look-inspired cocktails. I mean, how cute?!
If you don’t get the Matcha Martini, you’re seriously doing something wrong.
“Akin to a flower moving through the seasons, she peels back the layers in a beautiful rhythm of evolution, a delicate balance between romanticizing her life and living it.”
And they don’t mean presenting your best version of yourself *your face-tuned self* on social media.
“The collection is a palette of eclectic colors with neon orange in Spring tweed, watermelon, bubblegum, and gemstone embellishments to bring her magnetic energy to life with textural details and accessories.”
A little color never hurt nobody.
“Dressing is an art form, a lesson in adding and subtracting until the elusive balance is discovered.
Light and layered voile tanks, shirting and camisole dresses with sheer detail depict the process of letting go and trusting the natural sequence of events as they unfold.”
AKA, not having a major panic attack when the world starts to shut down again.
“Petals flow to create an unapologetic frame of femininity on Plisse voile ruffle, satin shirred gathered pieces and a classic trench coat with a petal collar. Plaid jacquard knitwear is woven into intricate shapes with transformable styling; giving her unending opportunities to reveal her many sides.”
The co-ord set is giving off major Clueless vibes, and we are here for it. If wanting to be like Cher is wrong, we don’t want to be right.
“There is an undeniable resilience present in the collection. She harnesses this to grow stronger each season, always looking forward in her journey with a renewed perspective.”
Our therapist always tells us to not harp on our seriously toxic past relationships. I guess this is what she means.
“Romantic utility is the essence of the 3.1 modern woman and this season’s pieces bring function and romance together with an ease of dressing.”
Did somebody say #cuffing season? No, we don’t think that’s what romance means in this context. *Quickly deletes Hinge*
“New jumpsuit silhouettes and pleated culottes convey a freedom and duality to the contemporary wardrobe.
A woman in bloom is conscious of her surroundings. She is mindful and resourceful; nothing goes decided without considered thought. She looks to nature for cues, identifying its resilient yet vulnerable cycle.”
Yeah, I’m always conscious of the smelly man next to me on the subway.
“Recognizing that when we reach a natural balance with nature, our joint energy radiates. On a constant journey to find the 3.1 sustainable balance, the collection introduces recycled materials, natural blends, and re-imagined resources. Intentional discovery of alternatives complemented by freedom in reconstruction, re-imagination, and circular creation are all positive, incremental steps for 3.1.”
Co-Star tells me I’m a naturally out-of-the-box thinker, does that count?
“With nature’s process as the foundation of existence and growth, she is bold and inspired to expand beyond the confinement of self-limiting beliefs. It brings an air of independence; she is an unstoppable force of modern femininity. This collection embodies an empowered mindset.”
We are strong, independent, and don’t need no man. *Cancels 3rd date of the week*
“We are in a state of constant learning coming back from each experience with a recharged lust for life to find joy within ourselves.”
In all seriousness, Phillip Lim brilliantly capitalizes on a universal truth: we all have a newfound appreciation for the little things.
We know we have a serious newfound appreciation for neon orange tweed. I mean, come on. It's absolutely gorg.
