On Wednesday, September 7th, HG Contemporary Gallery celebrated the opening night of famed fashion photographer turned artist, Raphael Mazzucco’s first solo show in New York City, Été Sans Fin. The gallery was transformed to replicate the artist’s own Montauk home, with sand and rocks from the beach underneath his captivating works, which were all framed in salvaged beach wood from the shores where he finds his inspiration. The opening was a night to remember with celebs, artists and tastemakers in attendance. Six pieces were sold within the first 45 minutes of the 3-hour fete, which served guests Alacran Tequila.
The retrospective, which will run through mid-October, features some of the most mesmerizing and hypnotic pieces of Mazzucco's three-decade career.
