The list of tastings includes heavyweights such as Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame, Dom Pérignon, Krug, Moët MCIII and more.
Picture this: a soft, crackling fireplace, plush armchairs atop Persian carpets and a continuous flow of Veuve Clicquot. The St. Regis New York promises all this and more at its holiday pop-up, Jack’s Champagne Club. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 4-10 p.m. starting Nov. 29, this hidden, lobby-level bubbly bar will transform the hotel’s Cognac Room into a festive wonderland, offering exclusive Champagne tastings and paired canapes. In an homage to St. Regis founder John “Jack” Jacob Astor IV, the space is designed in hues of silver and gold by atelier Champalimaud and highlights a Christmas tree inspired by Champagne bubbles. Additionally, French silversmith Puiforcat has partnered for a bespoke package ($1,904 for two guests) featuring the house’s silver Champagne tumblers, which guests will be able to take home with them after the experience. The mahogany tables spread around the room each feature a “Press for Champagne” button, and upon thumbing it, hosts appear to top up flutes with custom Champagne gueridons. Hors d’oeuvres from Astor Court, the hotel’s signature restaurant, are served alongside to delight guests for a truly toast-worthy experience. Cheers!
