Roy designgroup created an airy, feminine space including typographical tables.
San Francisco’s beloved The Riddlernow shares its extensive Champagne selection with the East Coast at a new NYC location this season. The second iteration of the Champagne bar features more than 100 bottles in a deep treasure trove of reserve Champagnes and vintage wines. The Riddler’s new location is run 100% by women, just like its sister in the Bay Area, from its designers to its investors, such as former Gourmet editor-in-chief Ruth Reichl and Cherry Bomb editor-in-chief Kerry Diamond.
Tater tot waffle with smoked salmon, creme fraiche and caviar
The women-led team at Roy designed the space, along with the original location in San Francisco. Apart from the French-made wooden tables and back bar, founder Jen Pelka has gathered antique serviceware and Champagne bottles herself. A raw bar will also be on display in the black, gold and marble space, along with a bar that stretches over 700 square feet, offering seats for 30 guests at a time. Once seated, enjoy highbrow-lowbrow menu items, from tater tot waffles to caviar, while sipping on Krug and Dom Pérignon. 51 Bank St., theriddlerbar.com
