Tuesday's Children Roots of Resilience Gala

On Thursday, September 8th, Tuesday's Children hosted their Roots of Resilience Gala in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. Four hundred members of New York City’s philanthropic, business, civic and 9/11 communities were in attendance for the event, which raised $400,000. The evening was emceed by Michelle Charlesworth, Reporter and Anchor, WABC-TV. Honored at the event were Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford, Jr. on behalf of the men and women of the Armed Forces; Chairman of Silverstein Properties, Inc., Larry Silverstein; Founder of the FealGood Foundation, John Feal; and Shannon Forde, former Senior Director of Media Relations for the New York Mets. The evening included a cocktail reception, dinner, program and a silent and live auction. Award-winning singer-songwriter Rachael Sage performed her signature blend of soulful and innovative folk, pop and classical.
